Review of Beowulf (2007) by Josh T — 27 Jan 2012
Fantastic visuals, solid story and high technological ambitions make for an engaging ride. Unfortunately the story's pacing isn't given quite the same level of attention, and prevents the film from attaining the majesty it requires.
Still, it's simultaneously entertaining, classical, and modern, which is a remarkable achievement. 'Beowulf' is a shining example of what the future holds in regards to film making technique.
