Review of Beowulf (1999) by Alison O — 03 Jul 2012
A ground-breaking CGI movie, the advances in the technique since Robert Zemeckis's last entirely CGI offering, The Polar Express, are palpable in this classical tale. Gone is the dead behind the eyes look and in their stead the oldest known written story in a language purporting to be English is brought into vivid and vibrant life.
Earthy and full-bodied.
