Not bad, but certainly not great. It's good for what it is, which is a heartfelt girl-power coming of age flick, dealing with culture and sexuality. The whole thing seemed like it could've been seen as offensive by Indians, because they really don't show much good in their traditionalist, oppressive family culture.
The acting is okay, and the story is okay if predictable, and it really is the very definition of a three-star movie.
