Review of Ben-Hur (1959) by Matthew M — 11 Apr 2009

I enjoyed this movie a lot the film takes you in with its great sets and costumes and allows you to experience the time during which Christ was alive. The story about revenge and many more themes like religion friendship and family is well written and portrayed.

I especially like the action sequences like the boat attack and the chariot sequence. The chariot race is really something amazing and is really believable. I also enjoyed the Colosseum that it was show in.

It is a very important film and its 11 Oscar wins were the most until it was tied by Titanic in 1997.
