Review of Ben-Hur (1959) by Jennifer B — 25 Feb 2010
Not really into religious cinema, but the basics are correct, as jews and palestinians unite against rome, individuals have to choose to evolve from hate and vengeance to survive. Hate comes built in and love is harder to live by.
The jesus dude influencing the hero symbolizes a firmware update to turn away from the anger and wrath of the old testament. Humans like symbols.
