Man, it was awesome film, until they remembered including more 45 mins after the chariot race. it was one of the most superb sequences i've ever encountered in a film, and it should have ended there or right after Messala's death, sparing all of the cheesy moments and unlikely miracles that came after.
despite this, its still a remarkable achievement.
