Review of Ben-Hur (1959) by Leo K — 02 Apr 2011
This film was beyond epic! Clearly a tale that could not completely fit under a single 3 hour cinematic, yet did its part with the grandeur cinematography and Shakespearean-style strife between characters.
Being filmed in the 1950's, it has a very deep inclination towards an ancient Jerusalem from the perspective of the U.S. meaning, it is historically sensationalized.
Regardless, great movie nonetheless, an a must watch for lovers of classic epics.
