Review of Ben-Hur (1959) by Theo M — 18 Jun 2011
A spectacle of epic proportions. Cameo appearances of Jesus Christ. I forgive the film's occasional lame dialogs, the fact that the music is very loudly dictating your every emotion, as well as some plot inconsistencies (These women are criminals.
Put them in a prison cell to rot away. *Four years later* Oh no, they've become lepers. Better release them before they rot away in their cell), since the many mass scenes are so wonderful - especially the ones with the galley wars and the chariot races.
