5/5 One of the greatest Hollywood spectacles. A wonderful, epic,biblical adventure masterpiece. Ben-Hur sets new standards for modern filmmaking while telling a masterful, dramatic story to match its epic scope.
Many people complain that Charlton Heston's performance is too physical and full of hate but I think it is very accurate. Someone who is fully betrayed by a friend and looses his family would more or less be of such behavior. The backstory of Christ is a wonderful asset to the themes behind it all.
