Review of Belle de Jour (1967) by Jesse G — 12 Mar 2009
Like Severine, the movie, despite its vividness, leaves a lot to the viewers' imagination...especially the ending.
Fascinating performances all round, it only lacks my wanting for a lengthier surrealist sex fantasy and possibly more drawn-out characters. very funny in places as well. For what it is, a classy masochistic dark-comedy, it can't get better than this!
