Review of Belle (2013) by Drew M — 19 Jun 2014
Such a beautifully well done film with an incredible story, good writing, good costumes, and a powerful cast led by two time Oscar nominee Tom Wilkinson and new comer Gugu Mbatha-Raw. It's the interesting true story of putting the end to slavery, and the story of Belle being a mixed race and being put on the sidelines will her cousin Elizabeth seek good suitors for marriage.
It's one of the best films of the year. Emily Watson, Matthew Goode, Sarah Gadon, Penelope Wilton give strong supportive performances. Has a Downton Abbey and Jane Austin feeling. Totally worth seeing.
My grade=95%(A).
