Review of Bella (2006) by Forrest W — 13 Aug 2008
It's difficult to separate morality from art. The struggle is usually to find artistic value in something that is morally divergent from our preferences. With "Bella", it's the other way around.
It is easy to appreciate the moral message, Which is, there is an alternative to abortion. But I think the movie's artistic value may have suffered just a little at the expense of the message. It was extremely simplified and quite condensed.
But in spite of my dogged adherence to code, I love this movie.
