Review of Being There (2011) by John E — 08 Apr 2009
An extraordinary and original movie. I can tell why Peter Sellers wanted to do this movie for so long. While not a film that will create uproarious laughter, it is gentle and understated in its humor (with an undercurrent of satire throughout); this film features great moments of humanity and emotion.
Sellers' performance is incredible as the guileless, not-quite-vacuous Chance. One of my new favorite movies.
