Review of Being There (2011) by Julie P — 14 Jul 2018
The ending of this film is the most satisfying, loving and ass kicking of all. Let us back up now...it is all about the character "Chance/Chauncey" played by the nonpareil Peter Sellers. The story revolves around Sellers character as a naive and even moron man who finds himself adored for his intelligence.
Through the course of the film we see how he becomes a national treasure. This is a Forrest Gump wanna be film, played with expertise by Sellers. The acting is superb, the story is superb, the ending, that makes you fill in the blanks, yet, is ambiguous, is superb.
One of my favorite films of all time.
