This one took a while for me to like, let alone move it above "sucks". I know a lot of what happens to Chance is meant to be symbolic, but the reality of his situations and the relationships he makes causes the movie to loose it's importance. I know, I know. In reality, Chance would be homeless and begging for food within minutes, and everyone would see through his utterances in a second, but who knows. Maybe that's just old cynical me talking. Sellers is great, although I get the feeling that I should have watched some of his other work first (this is my first movie of his). I did get a little misty eyed at the end, but that was really the only time I felt for his character. Maybe a repeat viewing is in order. In the meantime, I don't think this movie is as great as everyone says it is, but it was still an enjoyable film to watch.

On a side note, if the only reason Sellers didn't win a reward was because they put the outtakes in credits of the film, then that's just bullshit. C'mon, give the movie a break.
