Review of Being There (2011) by Ignacio L — 15 Mar 2011
"I like to watch." This classic film featuring the iconic Chance the gardener is a pecuiliar but very fine film. Director Hal Ashby seems to be circumventing a story about a simple man (who is mistaken as being profound) to reveal a tendency in human nature to see what we want to see.
Especially when the subjects of religion and politics come up. Very thought-provoking film.
