Review of Being There (2011) by Zach O — 23 Aug 2011
Absolutely Peter Sellers best performance-- make no mistake, this is his film and he owns every scene. This subtle satire is engaging, wryly amusing, and sometimes laugh-out-loud funny. It is hard not to feel for the character of Chance, and by the end of the movie I always feel a bit teary-eyed.
Being There is also a great conversation piece-- it is always interesting to see how people react to the ending. This is a movie that can be re-visited almost infinitely.
