Review of Being There (1979) by Chris W — 22 Jun 2008
A surprisingly absurd, yet delightful movie. This must be what one gets when Flowers For Algernon and Trading Places commingle. Chance plays the blank slate onto which everyone projects their feelings and thoughts, wandering through life with the innocence of a saint, and affecting people in much the same way.
One of Peter Seller's last, and oddest performances is not to be missed.
