Review of Being Julia (2004) by Tristan P — 17 Jul 2009
A very funny and satirical film that I mostly enjoyed. I saw it for Tom Sturridge who I've really liked in some other films, although his role here was of a starkly different nature. The best part of the film has to be when her best friend admits he 'plays for the other side' and she bursts our laughing, but the total obliteration of the 'tart' at the end was a close second.
I think it was good for what it was as the acting was superb, but it doesn't come close to being one of my favorites.
