Review of Being Julia (2004) by Andy P — 01 Oct 2010
Witty story. Witty performance. Witty movie. The very talented Ms. Bening has carried out her role as the famous self-centered stage actress Julia Lambert into perfection. The reason why audience empathize with Lambert throughout the movie is that they see her as a reflection of their own selves at their worst and best, and her mean-looking triumph at the end reflects nothing but a self-desired end in life.
