Review of Being Julia (2004) by Jules E — 14 Aug 2006
Being Julia is a smartly written movie about an actress and her way threw her relations in middle age. To start talking i'll begin with the best thing in this movie which is Annette Bening's AMAZING performence! Even if you don't like watching this kind of movies, watching annette bening acting here is a feast for every moviegoer.
She wasn't even acting, she was so natural you forget you are watching a movie and feel that you're sitting with her. And the last theatre scene she was marvellous. As for the screenplay, it was fairly written.
You feel the developement of julia's character throughout the movie and the ending is really surprising and the character of julia was one of the best ever written.
