Review of Being John Malkovich (1999) by Brian C — 21 Apr 2012
We NEED more movies as imaginative and original as this. Charlie Kaufman is a truly gifted writer, and the film is packed with so many wonderful details and thought-provoking ideas that it's scary to think that a man came up with it, wrote it, and got it produced.
Just when you think it's used up every possibility the premise offers, it spirals off in insane new directions that could never be predicted. The work of a mad genius. It's also one of the funniest movies you'll ever see; it's impossible to watch this movie and not laugh-out-loud.
