Review of Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006) by Ronan S — 11 Nov 2009
Funny that I should watch this and Man Bites Dog on the same weekend, knowing little about either one.
Both films share a simple premise (serial killer allows a small film crew into his life) though I found it hard to suspend disbelief and ignore the gaping plot holes. MBD is the better, but more brutal film, whereas Behind the Mask is a relatively light-hearted poke at the modern horror genre.
Worth watching, good for a friends' night in.
