Review of Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006) by Majic P — 16 Jun 2008
5 star idea....
3 star film.......
I like the way that in this film you get to see alll the prep that goes into a serial killers rampage, kind of makes you feel for them.... then you think no as he slashers everyone.
This film goes between docu style and film and does it well with the docu being the setup and then the film shows you how itall pans out.
But one down fall this film could of been superb if soomeone had put another fiver in the special effects budget as there isnt enough blood and the deaths are preety lame, considering he refers him self as a new Mike Myers/Freddie/Jason.
Well worth the watch and a different outlook on slasher films, with a few chuckles thrown in the mix, but it wont scare you too much and the twist can be seen coming a mile off.
