Review of Behind the Candelabra (2013) by Adam L. D — 16 Jun 2013
Very good do-over of ex Lover Scott Thorson's book about the man and the genius of a mega superstar when they actually had megasuperstars compared to the drap "celebrity" of today. No one can hold a candle to the incredible acting of Douglas as the late Liberace, his passion for the man's love for all extravangance and luxrary, holds very true through his performance.
Well told from the books point of view somewhat showing the life of Liberce to be sad and lonely, but Douglas stops that from happening only to grace us with that toothy smile and flash of glitter proving to us, that money does buy happiness.
Douglas Deserves a Oscar for this. Warning: lots of graphic male on male kissing with Matt Damon, he is well deserved for being praised for his performance,as well.portraying the bisexual hustler Scott Thurson.
