Review of Behind the Candelabra (2013) by Hugo G — 09 Jul 2013
The best part of the movie was the acting, Michael Douglas was just stupendous and like I had never seen him before as Liberace. He was perfect for the part and he demonstrated it in every scene. Also, Matt Damon was very good in his secondary role as Liberace's lover.
Although he was outshine by Douglas presence. The story was very well developed and was told in a very simple and easy way to understand. It showed me many parts of the story I didn't knew, but also I learned from history and their relationship.
However, the characters were also brought to life with the help of some excellent make-up and costume design.
