Review of Behind the Candelabra (2013) by Guilherme N — 16 Nov 2014
How a minor popular straight drag queen artist can become an interesting subject to a movie. Matt Damon plays beautifully a difficult character, in its simplicity, naïveté and honest emotions. The "palatial kitsch" becomes natural to the public, like the portrait of a time when gay codes where not explicitly perceived by the average man.
