You never know how strange some people are - until you know. Liberace lead an exhilarating albeit off-kilter lifestyle. Michael Douglas does a superb job bringing his character to life. as is usually the case, Matt Damon doesn't disappoint as the shy country boy Liberace takes under his wing - just maybe a little too far under.

in a world where the word NO is rarely said you can easily become one more broken object in a star's damaging path. also, look for a cameo by Doris Roberts - she does such a good job she's easy to miss!
