Review of Begotten (1991) by Brett H — 22 Apr 2014
An experimental "film" to say the least, that features no dialogue and some of the grossest images/sounds I've ever heard on film. The promotional campaign described it as a "Rorschach test for the eye", which is accurate because I certainly found nothing worthwhile in it and just wanted it over.
The film was made fairly modern, but looks like it was using cameras from 1957 when The Seventh Seal was shot! Not only is it disgusting and a waste of time to watch this, it's an eye-sore trying to decipher the images through the blurry black and white shading.
Props for a unique idea, but good lord I never want to go anywhere near this again.
