Review of Begotten (1991) by Ross E — 06 Jul 2018
A film of upmost importance. A true visual journey with no dialogue, and very little sound. A film to truly get lost in, with many interpretations. While the plot does have explanation given by the legendary E.
Elias Merhige, it can be interpreted in many ways, and that's what true art is. When art allows you to come to your own conclusion, that's the best kind. Please watch this film if you're deeply into the artistic nature of film as I myself am.
I've tried showing this film to many people and no one seems to get it, and it's really quite saddening to me.
