Yes, there is chemistry between the stars: Chris Evans & Alice Eve, but that's it. There is no originality here, not in the dialog, story, photography, sets, etc. If you've seen BEFORE SUNRISE, don't waste your time.
Though set in NYC, this leaves out the city's many interesting places and vibrancy. Two characters that are drawn to one another, but don't want to commit to an act. I still wonder why Chris Evans, who could do just about any script he wanted to, was drawn to making this for his directorial debut.
At least Ryan Gosling risked something in LOST RIVER.
