Review of Before We Go (2014) by Ydnar4 — 27 Oct 2015
Chris Evans was really not the type of actor that I expected to move on to directing but he does do a great job behind the camera. This film does not have a big budget and this film could almost still work without any other characters but the two lead so the film feels very independent. Chris Evans also knows the romantic comedy genre fairly well as he has starred in several before and after becoming Captain America.
Evans and Alice Eve both give excellent performances in this movie. They are both very likeable and their chemistry is strong. Their relationship is believable. Sadly the script is the downside of Before We Go. I didn’t find the movie overly clichéd but there are a few scenes in here that really don’t belong and I didn’t really love the ending because it was difficult to see where the couple stood when the morning came.
