Review of Before Sunset (2004) by Julie Ann D — 08 Aug 2013
The love story continues on. More ambiguous this time and much for the better. These films do not make sense on paper; whole films about a conversation between two people. This is more about the connection between the two. Like great friends who don't have to see each other for ages, the dialogue is picked up and you feel at home in the conversation.
The awkwardness and some of the sexual tension has gone from Before sunrise and the time they have together is shorter. It just makes for a better film.
I like Jessie better this time, but not that much. Celine is the better character for me and I think she will always be.
Great ending.
