Review of Before Sunset (2004) by Kim B — 22 Sep 2018
I would like to see the first one after watching this. It was a good film but it was a lot of talking and hardly any action. I will say tho the convo was great filtering thru a wide range of topics on life and with humor but ultimately revolving around romance and the idea that the 2 were unfort soulmates.
It is set in the beautiful Paris and the chemistry is great btw the two. There was a couple times were I thought oh come on not realistic, but for the most part it was a very thoughtful n well done piece with strong performances.
A few times I did question the lead male on his character but overall the film did a good job of making u feel empathy for him. Then when u finally think there will be a resolution at the end of the film, it just ends abruptly.
I really hate when movies do that bc I feel like its a cop out n in this films case felt like a lot of foreplay with no sex at the end. However, at least it eluded to that fact from the get go that it would end up in the air n it ended at a part that makes sense just not very satisfying.
