Review of Before Sunset (2004) by Beau D — 29 Aug 2012
Just like the first movie, this one is absolutely amazing. It is completely impossible to tell which parts of the movie are improvised and which are straight from Linklater's script. Hawke and Delpy's interplay is beyond natural.
I think I prefer this one to the first, as there is something about the two meeting up again years later struggling with the same life issues, but with the deeper and more troubling emotions that come with time.
Even as a stand alone, I prefer this movie slightly more (when I saw it I didn't even know of the first movie, and thought a movie about a random re-connection was a brilliant idea).
