Review of Before Sunset (2004) by Mark J — 14 Jan 2014
Second film in a trilogy in which two estranged lovers re-unite in Paris. Very engaging dialogue and has a somewhat more realistic edge than the first film. Be prepared to watch people talk at length in two-shots with extremely long takes (some up to 11 minutes) as the characters recall their romantic meeting in Vienna 9 years previously.
Solid, indie film-making putting the actors centre stage. Tremendous work from Richard Linklater, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy.
