Review of Before Sunset (2004) by Jamie B — 19 Mar 2014
The perfect sequel to Before Sunrise. Sunset retains the same naturalistic feel in the complex relationship between Hawke and Deply without ever feeling contrived. This one is shot more or less in real-time, so it has a greater sense of immediacy, but helps push the exploration of these characters even further.
This film is more matured and cynical, but as profound and touching as it's predecessor, and the city, this time Paris, perfectly complements this.
