Review of Before Sunset (2004) by Sujit O — 22 Dec 2014
9 years later, the story continues and both Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy have matured over the course of time. This time around Hawke and Delpy have sat together with Linklater to create an even more engaging script than the initial one which is saying a lot! The transition from the initial installment is carried out beautifully and the characters still share their amazing chemistry and never ending conversation topics ranging all over the place with the occasional look into the past.
Linklater too holds his style of long running shots and settings for engaging pieces. Although the film suffers from a relatively short runtime, it keeps you hoping to see what happens 9 years later while giving you a satisfying movie-going experience.
