Review of Before Night Falls (2000) by Sydney A — 08 Jan 2008
Though born from the union of Arenas's heavily exaggerated memoirs and Schnabel's operatic narcissism, Before Night Falls is a visually and emotionally beautiful film that prods at its viewers' sympathetic nostalgia.
The black and white footage at the end is killer.
