I'd not bothered with the two earlier "Before" films after reviews revealed their basic M.O., e.g., talk talk talk, love, love, love, fight, fight, fight. But I grabbed the BluRay on Netflix to see why it was on so many year-end lists.
It's very easy to buy the appealing leads, Hawke and Delphy, as lovers in a moment of triumph and doubt, with the complications and guilt of past decisions squeezing in on the couple and nearly crowding out the love.
Now I'm going back in time to view the others.
