Review of Before I Fall (2017) by John-Gregory C — 17 Mar 2017

I'll be honest and say that I was completely baited by the trailer to see this movie and I left the theater feeling lost, jarred, and speechless. The concept of the movie and the message they are trying to deliver is great and deep but the shallow writing and acting of the supporting cast leaves the audience feeling out of place. The lead actress had an amazing performance and honestly kept me in my seat throughout the whole movie. I also feel that the first act and the build up to the "event" took way too long and felt so over the top it almost didn't feel real even though they way over used stereotypical highschool cliche and tropes. I'd honestly day this is a movie that you wait for Redbox or for it to be on tv if you want to see it.

The movie also has a lot of content that I don't feel was needed and honestly left me with a sour taste. I strongly recommend that if somehow you do watch this, make sure you're a mature viewer as their is alot of things discussed that younger or even teens shouldn't view.
