Review of Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971) by Éric I — 29 May 2011
"Bedknobs and Broomsticks," based on two tedious novels by Mary Norton, single-handedly proves that the creativity in Disney's writing department was in full spark following Walt's death.
I'm amazed at how such a forgettable novel was turned into such an uplifting, fun and memorable Disney musical classic! The story-line is convincing and brings magic and spark into a re-telling of one of the darkest hours in not-so-recent history.
Angela Lansbury is bewitching!
