Review of Becket (1964) by Rian C — 18 Feb 2008
Epic struggle focused on friendship and the moral conflicts involved when attempting to serve both church and state. A strange, light-hearted tone runs throughout, sometimes it's almost comical. O'Tool plays the king right to the edge of sanity.
Good, not great. "The Lion in Winter" is a much better film.
