Review of Beauty and the Beast (2017) by Kuehnau — 25 Mar 2017
A faithful readapation of the Disney classic, they still managed to add extra weight to the story without disrupting what made it a classic to begin with. The movie covers what you'd expect it to, while explaining the main character's back story.
I was under the impression that there had been some backlash due to one of Disney's first gay characters. The implication is there, but it's handled in the perfect way, where many people may miss it altogether unless they are deliberately keeping an eye out for it.
Conservative parents parents, no need to worry, the film isn't going to turn your child gay. I could write pages on how this movie is great and why, but I'll just say this, it's a good movie, go see it.
