Review of Beats Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest (2011) by Camilo M — 19 Jan 2012
Kudos to Michael Rapaport for making a movie that's neither soft nor exploitative. It felt honest, in my humble opinion, and I'm rooting for them to do well in all of their endeavors.
"Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest" is a phenomenal documentary that creates a vivid image of my favorite hip-hop group "A Tribe Called Quest." It was intimate & stylish, everything THIS fan could hope for.
And thank you to A Tribe Called Quest for teaching me to love words and hip-hop and for giving us an alternative to the negative. They will have continuous play in my iPod forever and a day.
