I am a big fan of White and Arteta, but this never would have happened. The rich woman would have put Beatriz in a cab home or to the bus station and asked, "When will you and your friend be here tomorrow? I'd love to have you stay, but we're having an event and it just won't work.".

Why portray rich people as STUPID? Sure some of them are out-of-touch or snobs, but a lot of rich people are seriously perceptive, socially adept and not so easily upended by unexpected occurrences.

As it is, I would have preferred to see the first ending play out. The second one was loaded with meaning that didn't reach me.
