Review of Beat the Devil (1953) by Ray J — 21 Jul 2009
Heard this wasn't that good and for once they were right, honestly when John Houston and Bogart do a movie its usually good. I found it funny to see Peter Lorre from a young creepy guy int he Maltese Falcon to a plump old man, but his voice and demenor is still the same.
The movie plays like a 50s indie film that is as dry as the setting of the film I gather, very boring and very disappointing, if this movie was to lampoon caper movies like the one they did The Maltese Falcon, they failed miserably.
