Review of Beat the Devil (1953) by Mjs M — 31 Aug 2008
Likeable thriller with some humorous moments, with strong performances from Jones and Morley. Bogart is past his prime but still has star quality. Hughess direction is excellent, keeping viewer interest in the film even with a somewhat less than stellar plot.
Bernard Lee shows up in the end to arrest the baddies. They dont make actors this good any more.
