The word beautiful is often misused to describe films. In this case, this is is beautiful. The way that Hushpuppy finds happiness and entertainment amidst the pain and the loneliness and the poverty was mesmerizing.
This is the kind of film that should be made. This is a movie with seeing not once, but revisited many times over the years.
