Review of Beasts of No Nation (2015) by Beingryanjude — 23 Jan 2016
Amidst several fast-paced action sequences are several dark, contemplative looks at the troubles in this African civil war and the young boy caught in the middle. Cary Joji Fukanaga’s artistry is impressive - but many of the sequences feel unnecessary to the brutal story being told.
